I started using a PC or personal computer when I was in High School. Back then, the average memory size of a computer (how much information it could hold) was only 64 Kilobytes, now they're huge! My computer came with a separate keyboard, a mouse and a black and white monitor. This equipment is also more commonly known as a comptuers hardware. In those days, it was quite expensive to buy computer hardware. Not many kids at school were as fortunate as I was to own a computer. The hardware for my computer alone cost me nearly $2000. A software is a program that you use to tell the computer what to do. I had all sorts of software, some are games while others help me do my school work. I did my home work on a word processor, a program that allows you to write and edit your work without using pen and paper. After my homework was complete, I would print it out on my dot matrix printer, and have it ready for the next day.
