Unit 2: Reading Comprehension

People often go to see a film based on newspaper reviews or movie poster advertisements. If it is a new release movie, tickets would generally be sold out on the first and second day of screening. If you plan to see a movie after the 6 o'clock screening session, make sure that you book your tickets way in advance. These screening sessions are very popular, and they are always crowded with people. Cinemas are usually full on the weekends or during the school holidays, particularly if the movie is very popular. If you arrive early, you usually have to line up in the foyer area with other movie goers. Some people don't like to be seated too close to the screen, it can be quite difficult to see the whole screen. Most people prefer to be seated in the middle aisles, which offers a good view of the whole screen. Some people however prefer to be seated in the back row, where they can stretch their legs. About 10 minutes before the movie starts, there are usually a few commericals and some trailers. People like to use this time to grab some popcorn and a coke before the movie begins.
