Jump the Queue
To go to the front of a queue unfairly and not wait for your turn .
Those two men jumped the queue. It wasn't their turn to pay for the tickets yet.
Every morning, I put on my track suit and go for a 30 minute jog at a park near my home. A new athletic sports centre was recently built there, which contains a swimming pool, a tennis and basketball court. There is also a separate sports stadium, that can seat upto 30,000 spectators. Several competitions are held here each year, and athletes from all over the state come to compete in track events. I like to run around the track several times with other amateurs athletes. There is also a large area marked out in the middle of the field for field events. This is the place where jumping and throwing events are held. Sometimes sports officials put out special sports equipment in the middle of the field. They use them to measure and time the events. There is also a large electronic scoreboard where information is displayed.
